What information do we collect? How do we use it?

At MerchantRates.com, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to generate custom quotes. If you wish to have your information updated or removed, please send a request to merchantrates@vantagecard.com.

Merchant Customers

We collect and analyze data on merchant proposals generated to refine the site tool. We also monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site.
Our calculator form requires an email address which is used to send a link to a custom merchant rate quote when the form is completed. In addition, we use this address to send customers newsletters containing industry information and links to helpful resources. Please send an email to merchantrates@vantagecard.com if you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletter.
MerchantRates.com does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. MerchantRates.com may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. MerchantRates.com may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with law, (ii) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of MerchantRates.com, our users, or others.
All merchant customer information provided to Vantage Card Services, Inc. in conjunction with setting up merchant accounts is strictly protected for privacy in keeping within the Bank and Card Association requirements.

What about "cookies"?

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Merchant Rates uses cookies to enhance your online experience and to improve the quality of our services.

Mergers & Acquisitions

Circumstances may arise where for strategic or other business reasons MerchantRates.com decides to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize. It is MerchantRates.com's practice to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect on the site to enhance your overall experience with MerchantRates.com. We collect very little personal data from users of the system to limit any privacy issues relating to this service.
